Product Development

A structured development route for technical packs, reference samples, material decisions, prototypes and approval feedback.

From idea to approval

Development is the work of turning intent into testable product decisions.

Some buyers provide a complete technical pack; others provide a reference sample, artwork or an early collection idea. The development route should expose what is known, what must be decided and what the next sample is intended to prove.

Review material decisions

Development tracks

Start at the level of definition your project already has.

OEM

Specification-led

The buyer supplies the core design and technical direction. Review focuses on feasibility, missing instructions, sourcing assumptions and production interpretation.

ODM

Development-led

The buyer supplies a market goal, reference or range direction. More product decisions must be developed, documented and approved before production.

REPEAT

Reference-led reorder

An approved product reference anchors the discussion, while quantities, colors, artwork, packaging or controlled revisions are confirmed.

What to send

A better input produces a more useful first review.

Send the best available combination of technical pack, measurement chart, artwork, color references, construction images, physical sample notes, intended use, target customer and quantity context. Missing information is not a failure; it simply becomes part of the development plan.

Sample feedback should identify

  • sample version and date;
  • fit or dimension observations;
  • material and hand-feel response;
  • construction or function issues;
  • artwork, color and trim corrections;
  • accepted points and unresolved decisions.
